The parish council  currently has two co-option vacancies due to the retiring of Cllr Maisie Marsden last year and the retirement of Cllr Eric Preston in May 2017.  If you are interested in joining the parish council then please contact the Parish Clerk in the first instance by email: esk.ugg@gmail.com so that further information can be sent out regarding the role and eligibility criteria. There is a deadline of the 11 August 2017 for applications as consideration of applicants will be made at the September 2017 parish council meeting.

In addition, following the death of Cllr Judy Powditch the council is undergoing the official process of a    Casual Vacancy.  Should an election (which the parish  council would have to pay for) not be called for this  vacancy then the parish council will again seek to fulfil the role by co-option, and a notice will be placed on the noticeboards with a deadline of the 11 August 2017 for consideration at the September 2017 parish council meeting.
