   Yorkshire Wildlife Trust improving River Esk    5 September, 2022

"BEACH Esk (Better Estuary & Coastal Habitats) project. The project is a partnership between the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and the Environment Agency to deliver water and habitat improvements in the area, with scope till 2025 .For the period 2022/23, we have secured funding through the Farming in Protected Landscapes scheme to deliver capital works on or near watercourses to reduce pollution entering as well as connecting and expanding habitats within the wider landscape. Running parallel to this is river surveys will be undertaken to build a profile of the river network, identify pollution issues and propose restoration measures for future grant funding."
